@PartySanCTG -political correctness, etc, etc. So maybe, since she wrote Hong Kong Garden criticising racism, she's not actually a racist? Is it racist to criticise oppression of women, just because such practices as referred to in the song take place in a certain part of the world? No, she is merely drawing attention to these practices, and condemning them. Nothing racist about that...this song is about a culture. If anything, she is sympathising with Arabic women. How is that racist? Some things just need to be said, regardless of whether or not they make someone else feel uncomfortable. And anyway, it's not like Siouxsie has never criticised Western culture in other songs.

Fucking brilliant, Siouxsie. Start your band's career with "Hong Kong Garden", a song criticising racism and prejudice against Asians, and then record a fucking song that depicts Arabs as soulless, misogynist, pedophile, goatfucking abusive primitives (you actually SING "at your primitive best"!) who treat women like baby machine objects and nothing else, and eat stuff white Westerners would find disgusting (shades of Indy and the Temple of Doom, yaaay), WITHOUT KNIVES AND FORKS. What the fuck, Siouxsie. What the fucking fuck. (And naturally, there will always be at least one idiot commenting about "political correctness".)
