Ski Aggu is a German rapper from Berlin-Wilmersdorf, who is known for his party-themed songs and his signature ski goggles. He was born on November 3, 1997, as August Jean Diederich. He started releasing music on Soundcloud in 2018, collaborating with Ritter Lean and other underground artists. He also lived in Ireland for a while, where he became a champion of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a martial art that he often references in his online presence and music videos.
Ski Aggu released his first single Weißwein & Pappbecher in 2020, followed by several other tracks that showcased his catchy and upbeat style. His second song Super Wavy, featuring YFG Pave, was his most streamed song on Spotify until the release of Party Sahne in 2022. Party Sahne, produced by Endzone and Ericson, sampled the melody of Jerk It Out by Caesars and became Ski Aggu’s breakthrough hit, reaching number 32 on the German charts and earning a gold certification. The song also made him popular at festivals such as Splash, Poolbar-Festival, and Frequency.
Ski Aggu released his debut album „2022 war Film gewesen“ in December 2022, which contained four new songs. The album received positive reviews from critics, who praised Ski Aggu’s sense of mood and fun. In 2023, Ski Aggu collaborated with Dutch rapper Joost Klein and comedian Otto Waalkes on the single Friesenjung, a remake of Waalkes’ original song. The single topped the charts in Germany and Austria. Ski Aggu also announced a tour called Wahlkampftour 2023, jokingly claiming that he would run for chancellor.
