SkyDxddy is hip-hop artist Skylar DeMarino. She originally started singing country but after experiencing a brutal sexual assault she took to distancing herself from her country roots after realizing just how misogynistic it truly is. She soon ran off to college hoping to move forward with her dream to be on Broadway. Where things weren’t exactly different, being openly gay, kid to a mom that cleans houses and a dad on disability. She quickly learned the system was stacked against her in more ways than one. With no choice but to drop out. She decided to take her voice else where and start a movement for women.
