Say what you want about this album, but to me this album easily is on par with their previous 5 albums and would make this their last truly great album. This album is easily one of my favourites. I just can't get enough of that evil tone it has, it really adds to it. Tracks like Killing Fields, Sex. Murder. Art., Dittohead, 213, and yes even the title track Divine Intervention are phenomenal.

Slayer updates their sound and creates what could be described as "Reign in Blood for the 1990s". Scarier, weirder, more perverse and a little more fucked up, but honestly a more well developed album than its 1986 elder silbing. The stupid Rush Limbaugh tribute dampens things a pinch but otherwise arguably in my top 5 "Slayer's best albums" list.

Much better than it's given credit for. "Dittohead" in particular is one of my favorite Slayer songs; fucking hell that track tears.

Giving it a listen after many many years. Damn! I forgot how good it is. Shame on me.
