Biography
Debuting in April 2021 with the release of In Your Head, Slow UFO is the solo efforts of Florida based musician Lucas Ferreira. First starting with a variety of catchy indie pop songs, as seen in songs like In Your Head, and Dinner Date, Slow UFO has now has moved on to a focus on the indie rock genre, starting with his EP Palm Trees In June.
Prior to Slow UFO, Ferreira made mainly Indie Pop instrumental music under the name “rekirtsstriker” (Pronounced “ree-kurt-striker”). After the release of his first song with vocals, Rusted Swingset, a Reddit post he made on January 18, 2021 caught the attention of State Of Indie Records Co-Founder Jake Hartley, who offered Ferreira to join the at the time, 4 month old record label as their newest artist. By January 20, 2021, Lucas was a member of SOI.
