“Sensual Seduction” is a 2007 single from Snoop Dogg, its title censored from the original title “Sexual Eruption.” The lyrics put the focus on female pleasure during sex. The atypical throwback 80’s freestyle dance track has Snoop Dogg singing through AutoTune rather than rapping.
In the music video, Snoop has a vocoder attachment in his mouth as Roger Troutman would have in the band Zapp. The sound and look fit the campy, self-aware, straight-faced, but tongue-in-cheek late-70’s-meets-early-80’s throwback motif of the video. Unsurprisingly, this bold gambit paid off as a #1 Dance track on the Billboard charts.
