Biography
Snow Yard
Founded in 2022 by the musical talents of Victor Reikdal and Rodrigo Evaristo, known as Reaf, is a testament to the unyielding spirit of rock. Embracing influences from iconic bands such as The Foo Fighters, Oasis, Nirvana, Supergrass, The Beatles, Ramones, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, and Blur, Snow Yard delivers a sound that encapsulates the very soul of rock.
In 2023, Reaf, based in Santa Catarina, embarked on a transformative journey to Aracaju, SE, where Victor had set up his new base. Their mission: the creation of their debut album. Strikingly, the duo undertook the monumental task of playing every instrument themselves, birthing a garage rock sound that resonated with raw authenticity. Their inaugural single, "This Spring," released on April 9, 2023, marked the inception of their musical voyage.
The origins of Snow Yard trace back to 2018 when Victor and Reaf, both merely 13 years old, crossed paths during their 8th-grade year. Their shared love for music, rather than friendship, ignited their creative spark. Victor, recognizing Reaf's talents, invited him to join his band, "The Four's," an ensemble of schoolmates.
Time passed, and Reaf temporarily departed from the band, which would eventually disband. However, the intervening years bestowed wisdom and perspective. Victor and Reaf reconnected, acknowledging the triviality of past disagreements. The revival of their dream was, however, accompanied by a geographical challenge—Victor's relocation to Aracaju, SE.
Unwilling to let distance define their musical destiny, Reaf meticulously orchestrated a visit to Aracaju, booking a flight for an extended recording and planning session. This was the catalyst for the formation of Snow Yard, a band whose raw, mature, and unwavering approach to rock music promises a thrilling journey ahead.
