"Shadow of a Doubt" is the second track on Sonic Youth’s 1986 album Evol.
The lyrics were inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s film Strangers on a Train. Also, Shadow of a Doubt is the title of another Hitchcock film.
The music video was directed by Kevin Kerslake and features Kim Gordon sitting on top of a train.
