Biography

South Texas Revolution is a four piece band from Sabinal, Texas that was officially formed in February of 2007. The band features David Rodriguez on vocals/guitars, Feno Rodriguez on vocals/guitars, Victor Alvarado on Bass, and James "Jimmy" Rodriguez on drums. They are a blend of their influences and their heritage. You can hear a great mixture of Americana, Texas Blues, Red Dirt Rock, Tex-Mex Rock 'n Roll, Outlaw Country, and so much that cannot quite be explained. Unique in that they sport dual vocalists and lead guitars, you will often hear Feno back up David's vocals on one song and vice-versa when Feno takes on the lead vocal role.

The album Live & Loud was recorded while opening for the bands greatest influence, and favorite band, The Mike McClure Band. It was recorded on April 9, 2009 at the Lonestar Saloon in Uvalde, Texas. It was recorded by Radio Dog Recordings out of San Antonio by Jerry Clayton. The album features twelve original tracks written by the band, with three covers by some of their favorite artists.\

South Texas Revolution can be seen playing all night at a local bar with a set that includes an abundance of original material as well as popular Texas Country/Red Dirt covers. Perhaps you can catch them opening for one of Texas Country/Red Dirt's popular acts, they have and often do.
