There are at least there artists called Squad (bands called The Squad must not be listed here).
1. Squad was a punk rock band from Coventry, United Kingdom, active in the ate 1970s and early 1980s and primarily known as a footnote in the story pf The Specials: Terry Hall was briefly in the initial Squad line-up in 1977. They released the 'Red Alert' and '£8 a Week' singles in 1978 and 1979. They also had a track on the 'Sent From Coventry' compilation LP. They were led by singer Gus Chambers, who tragically died on 13 October 2008.
2. Squad was an extreme punk / metal band from Chili, established in 1987. Their music mixed punk, thrash elements and 'death-y' vocals. Born in the minds of Rodrigo Cuadra (now in the succesful band Dorso), and Chris (the only remaining original member), Squad delivered the youthful angst in noisy but with heavy chunks of metal/punk. With the success of the tape 'Gallinazeous Death', Squad gained fans across the country. Their most popular anthem was 'Muerto a los hippies' ('Death to the hippies').
3. Squad is the name of a 'dark techno' producer.
