Biography

"…write me a song," she said.

Starhead was a spooky little y'all-ternative Ouvre-Fi folk-rock band headed by singer/songwriter Ira Wile, first formed at the end of winter, 2008.

Like the sky, Starhead membership was been proven to be subtly elastic, however.

While Starhead performances and recordings usually featured a core set of rhythm musicians and a certain emotional continuity throughout, various 'guest' appearances sometimes result in stylistic changes…

The band's name was originally drawn from the name of an album by another local band ( jetscreamer), the origins from there, according to Will Kapinos (of jetscreamer), are best left uncovered .
Mr Kapinos will forever drink on our tab wherever we may play.

Starhead released an album, titled 'Escadrille', produced by Brent Best ( Slobberbone, The Drams, The Murder Virgins) in February of 2009 on the Wow Signal Music Company label, almost a year to the date from the penning of the first song.
