Biography
They say everything is done bigger in Texas and Stegosaur might be concrete proof of that.
With the band's latest release, a 3 song 7" entitled Adventure, Stegosaur take the tried and true formula
of post-hardcore and turn the sound on its ear. The band calls your bluff and pushes their melodies
through the roof while never forsaking the gift of rock.
For such a young band, Stegosaur has an incredibly mature approach to songwriting. These three songs
encompass an impressive mixture of tempos, moods and textures as the band waxes and wanes their way
to something unique, yet still warmly familiar. Stegosaur has the remarkable ability to write infectious
and melodic (indie) rock songs that truly grab the listener with a bold and direct immediacy.
During the 7" opener, "A Headache", lead singer Jerid Reed Morris belts out the line "…strike a balance
between mean and pop sensibility…" and quite masterfully Stegosaur have done exactly that on
Adventure.
