Steven Gores' affinity for original music, specifically scores created on the black and white keys, was nurtured the day his grandfather's piano became a fixture in his childhood home in ST Paul, MN. As he struggled through lessons, he adapted his understanding of charts and created methods that would allow him to read and improvise. Soon he was transforming the thoughts in his head to his fingertips. Oscar Peterson and Ramsey Lewis were early influences. He never "marketed" himself, but did post a few albums on CD Baby. Through CD Baby and Last Fm he has created a following that is global. He will have a new album released November 2, 2010. He will also have a web page available in early October.
