Steven Walker (born: October 9, 1990 ) known as Steven In Stereo (also known as PositiveSteven), is an American YouTuber from Houston, Texas. Steven is known for being a voice in music by making YouTube music commentaries/reactions of many popular artists.
Steven started his YouTube journey in the summer of 2018. Though he initially started with the intent of being a vlogging channel, he learned that he could "nerd out" about music through reactions, and thus "Steven In Stereo" was created. Within the first 30 days of being on YouTube, he gained his first 10.000 subscribers.
During 2020, Steven experienced his first real surge of success when he started doing full album reactions. This gave him the chance to spend quality time with every song from an album and people loved to listen to his opinions on everything instead of just the singles.
Steven is known for his online presence surrounding music. While he publishes frequently to YouTube, he is also very active on social media. He often posts about new things going on in music and spends a lot of time on "stan" twitter.
Personal life
Steven was born in Houston, Texas, in 1990. His family moved a lot due to work so he ended up living in a lot of different cities while growing up. He also spent a lot of time living in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Steven has a younger brother that he is really close with. He has also been married for 9 years to his wife, Victoria.
Steven grew up around punk/hardcore music and subscribes to the Straight Edge lifestyle. He has also been a vegan (for animals) for the last decade. He is an avid fan of strength training and has aspirations of competing in powerlifting. He also follows the Minimalism lifestyle.
In 2008, Steven was involved in a serious car accident. He was pinned into a car and broke his femur. The result of that was a titanium rod being inserted into his leg. He has spent years dealing with the injury and the pain associated with it.
Mental health
Steven has always been transparent about his struggles with mental health. He has been diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, and depression. He is an advocate for mental health and tries to make sure to speak about it and break down the barriers surrounding it.
