Biography

Steve is a songwriter, playwright, and broadcaster whose musical adventures include everything from singing the National Anthem at Wrigley Field for the Cubs to leading the music in LDS General Conference and hosting a Sunday morning radio show.

Along with Marvin Payne and Roger & Melanie Hoffman his co-writers from Peace Mountain MediaWorks, he created The Scripture Scouts, Alexander's Amazing Adventures, The Allabouts and has written projects for National Geographic, Prime Recordings, Deseret Book, and other companies.

In 1999 he was presented the FCMA Pearl Award for "Best Soundtrack" for the Cast Recording of "The Trail of Dreams," co-written with James Arrington and Marvin Payne.

In June of 2004 and again in 2005 he received the Pearl award for "Best Radio Show of the Year." You can hear him in Salt Lake City on FM100 every Sunday from 6 am to 6 pm, or streaming online at http://www.FM100.com.

He is also a volunteer for Reach the Children, a non-profit organization providing education, nutrition, and vocational training for children and families throughout Africa. Learn more at reachthechildren.org.
