Biography
Stilo appeared in 1999. In 2002 Stilo won the 1st Prize on a prestigious ethno music festival Nowa Tradycja (New Tradition), organised by the Polish Radio. The award opened new possibilities for the group. A few months later, in a professional studio, Stilo prepared second record "Idą czasy". The material was recorded under the supervision of Leszek Kamiński - a legendary Polish producer. It was awarded as the 2nd Folk Phonograme of the Year 2003.
Stilo are:
ZUZA KUCZBAJSKA - violinist
JANUSZ ŻUKOWSKI - jazz saxophone player (plus clarinet and flute), graduate of The Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music (the Bialystok Branch). Interested in theatre and Mediterranean cooking.
WOJTEK STASIAK - electric and acoustic guitar, cümbüş (turkish string instrument). Founder of the band. Believes in God, Real Music for Real Life and his wife.
TOMASZ ŻUR - bass guitar. The tea specialist with the big music talent. Experienced with singing and playing on drums, guitar and keyboards. The second long-time member of the group.
JAREK CIEŚLAK - drummer, sent to the band from Heaven. He likes practicing on drums and biking.
