Biography

The Swedish music scene today is occupied by so many good bands that you’ll probably be amazed and shocked at the same time. But this four piece doesn’t even flinch facing the odds and the aim for a breakthrough in a not to far away future have never been more focused than up to this day. With the brand new single “Breathe In Breathe Out” out on the field plowing down even the most cynical pessimist the band expect to reap exactly what they sow. Which is of course love, hate, life, death and live music!

Streets of Mars consists of Zizmonds energetic and passionate vocals, Sakibs commanding baselines, Calles catchy guitar riffs and Mats pounding … drums. Combined with the four personalities of the guys you got the most democratic and talented band that has rocked the Swedish soil in years. This has brought the band airtime on national TV, live gigs on Swedish major radio and praise from various media channels.

Streets of Mars formed ten years ago and has been building both reputation and songs through an remarkable amount of gigs and the bands massive songwriting talent combined with their enormous will to reach success. 2009 is yet a new beginning as Zizmond and Sakib are the only remains of the starting four. With new people comes new inspiration and there is never a lack of confidence for success. The recipe is made. You can definitely find references in the music, but they have indeed found their own sound and a massive fan base. The key to that is, accordingly to the band, to not shut anybody out and to create songs that are penetrated by pure quality, utterly honest and brings the feeling to the listener. Whether it is a feeling of happiness, love, understanding, chest-beating spirit or anything else doesn’t really matter to Streets of Mars as long it’s a feeling that gives something unique to every person in their audience.
