Substance Black is an Industrial Metal band formed in Zagreb, Croatia in 2009 by members JV, Bojan and Luka.
Substance Black commenced from the minds of three friends - JV, Bojan and Luka in Zagreb, Croatia. What the three had in common was love for extreme metal, biomechanics and relationship between men and machine. Puzzle was there, but some pieces were missing. Those pieces joined the trio in near future - Q, Igor AKA Deimos and Sicke, so finally the puzzle that was Substance Black was done. Immediately after they assembled they started to work on what is later known as Skulptura EP - a four piece EP with each song giving a perspective on what our future holds for us (lirical wise) and how that future may sound (audio wise). Specifically, Deimos showed in his 4 minute piece that the same future we await with so much desire may be the beginning of our demise. Substance Black is here to explore that future and depict it in all it's melancholic, apocalyptic and sun-free glory and they tend to do it in the best way they know - unleashing a raw energy of sonic power.
Band's current live lineup consists of: JV(bass), Bojan (vocals), Luka (lead guitar), Deimos (keys).
