Biography
"Dance rock that parties with the likes of 3Oh!3, Family Force 5, All-American Rejects, MGMT, and Passion Pit."
We are on a journey–a journey to find funnest, dancy-est, catchiest sound there is. Superlift is the vehicle for that journey, a colorful and delicious super-duper giant robot. We invite you to join us on said journey…aboard the robot. The legs are piloted by:
Matt Wood (bass) - Matt plays bass for the UVA marching band–when he feels like it–and is arguably the single most-powerful man in Scott Stadium during any given football game, considering his vice-like grip on the marching band's tonal center and ability to shake the stands.
Elliot Burris (percussion) - Our secret agent in the music industry, Mr. Burris operates with "The Stig"-like handling, grace, and professionalism–just like the European motor scooter he drives.
The arms are manned by:
Tony Trombadore (keys) - suave n' sporty Italian by day, nerdZor code monkey by night, Tony T can tickle the elephant tusks like no other. Will code for keytars.
Evan Shields (guitar, vox) - This man-about-town will one day ride the surge of Superlift fans like a wave all the way to the White House. His buttery smooth R$B voice and nimble fingers will slay all Superlift's enemies with burning justice.
At the stern:
Travis Dennis (vox, guitar) - is really just trying to unleash the voices in his head.
Formed in the waking hours of 2010, we exist quietly among the students of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA–for now…
