Surrender The Coast originally formed in late 2009 and hit the Leicester music scene in mid 2010 with the debut E.P 'Avert Your Eyes.' The debut release showcases the early sound of the band, with two vocalists as seen throughout most of the 'screamo' genre. The band supported the release with shows up and down the country in their first ever tour.
A need for change was felt and in 2011 the band took on the challenge of a major line-up change as well as a new musical direction. Melodic vocalist Jon Cowling left the band and the band pushed forward for a new sound, in August 2011 the band started to record their new release 'Breaking Morals & Losing Morale' which was released on 3rd February 2012.
