Kathrine Shepard (born 1991), best known by her moniker Sylvaine (/sil.vɛn/), is a half-American, half-Norwegian musician. Originally based in Oslo, Norway; since at least 2014, based in Paris, France.
As she says, “Sylvaine serves as an emotional catharsis, leading me on a quest to explore profound sensations and concerns within me, sometimes dealing with questions where the answers seem vague, empty or absent. This project is a way of processing every aspect of life, allowing me to deal with matters that otherwise would be suppressed…”
