Biography

Troy Hudson (born March 13, 1976 in Carbondale, Illinois) was an American professional basketball player.

After a college career at the University of Missouri and Southern Illinois University, Hudson was not selected in the NBA draft. Since earning a hard-fought spot on the Utah Jazz in 1998, he later played for the Los Angeles Clippers and the Orlando Magic. However, his most productive seasons have come in Minnesota, where he averaged a career-best 14.2 pts and 5.7 assist per game in 2002-03. Since landing a nice contract extension in 2003, Hudson has been plagued by nagging injuries that have hurt his production in recent years. He has averaged 9.2 points per game throughout his career.

Hudson also has a musical side. "T-Hud," Hudson's nickname and stage name, has three rap albums and around 800 songs to his credit. A drum machine usually accompanies him on road trips. "I have my own label — Nutty Boyz Entertainment — and I have three artists (that I manage)," the hip-hop guard has said in an interview.
