Biography
T.W.i.N.E. is known both for an intense live performance as well as blending many genres. Fans describe seeing T.W.i.N.E. as more of an experience than a show. When T.W.i.N.E. performs, everyone in the crowd is part of the show. At any given time, someone can climb on stage and grab the extra mic, screaming along to their favorite songs. Singer Rick Carr is also known for disappearing into the crowd or climbing onto the bar with wireless mic in hand, giving even those in the back of the club a front row experience.
T.W.i.N.E. was formed by Rick Carr, Keith Wood, Ryan Edgar, and former keyboardist Mike Johnstone back in 1997, though it has changed significantly over the years. The band has seen many changes in members, with the addition of guitarist Scott Fraser and keyboardist Dave Cohen who have both been with the band now for 7 years. Most recently, Andrew Sacher has now joined as T.W.i.N.E.'s newest bassist (preceded by Jim Chorman, Tom Pogue, and even Scott Fraser).
T.W.i.N.E. has released quite a few demos over the years, but 2006 brought the bands first true album, "Burning the White Flag." This album was recorded at the Jam Room in Howell, New Jersey with engineer Arnie Brown and features the singles "Break in the Fade" and "The Quiet Song." It even includes bonus tracks from T.W.i.N.E.'s 2002 EP including "Song 4." This album also marks TWiNE.'s first jump into digital distrubution.
