Biography
Louisville’s emerging singer/songwriter, Ty redefines the new age of music, fusing various expressive styles with innovative beats. At age fourteen, Ty struggled to search for a new creative outlet. “Listening to music was just a way of letting go,” Ty explains, “You get a break from everything going on around you.” Inspired by his older brother, a novice musician, Ty decided to record his first song at his father’s house, mixing beats on his computer and using a microphone gifted to him years earlier. After completing his first song, he wanted to do nothing more; Ty was immediately drawn to the craft.
Constantly writing, recording, and freestyling, Ty started improving his craft over the following year. Steadily, Ty matured as a musician. Not only does Ty create music that is entertaining and speaks to his audience, but it is also something he feels proud to produce. At fifteen, Ty collaborated with Jordan Brooks, a local Louisville artist, producing the hit single “I’ve been thinking.” After gaining notoriety, Ty started working with a local music production company, Belrok, producing more music, filming music videos, and establishing his brand. Tirelessly, after months of recording, Ty produced his first album “the way I was” in February of 2022. Ty continues his dedication to his craft, performing at venues in his hometown and across Kentucky. Now, at age sixteen, Ty is creating a new wave of buzz in Louisville, continuing to redefine a new generation of music.
