Biography
Tandalai is the unique singer from Ust-Kanskogo area of Altai republic with a voice of surprising force and beauty, a range in five octaves. In her repertoir there are ceremonial songs and ritual chants of Altay Mountains people, throat-sung ancient epics and imitation of animals and birds calls and other natural sounds. She also plays many traditional tuvian instruments: topshuur, khomus, igil, doshpuluur, shoor. She won several international contests both in Russia and internationally.
