Taye Diggs (birth name Scott Diggs) was born January 2, 1972 in Rochester, New York. He is probably best known for his roles as Benny in "Rent" and Winston Shakespeare in "How Stella Got Her Groove Back". He has also appeared in the Broadway hits "Wicked" and "The Wild Party" both alongside his wife Idina Menzel.
