Biography
The Afro-German vocalist of Nigerian origin, TAYO Jessica Awosusi, sings with her warm soulful voice and brings a mixture of soul, funk & jazz. She sings not only in English but also in German and Romanes, which is the language of the minority Sinti and Roma (gypsy).
The musical home of her parents is in soul & funk music, and so are the influences of TAYOs musical background.
With the age of 9, TAYO stepped on stage for the first time while she was a guest singer for the Funky Breeze Band which also has been an opener for the Ohio Players and performed on the same stage as soul singer Chaka Khan.
