Biography
Ténéré is a thrash/death metal band hailing from Pretoria, South-Africa. The band comprizes of Albert van Niekerk (vocals), Lean du Plessis (guitar), Gerhard Jacobs (guitar), Gerhard Bienedell (bass), Johan Taljaard (drums).
Founded in 2008 Ténéré has played shows at numerous venues and festivals in and around Gauteng. In May 2009 they released their Demo EP titled Making a new enemy. Since then they have ventured out to Durban, Welkom, and supported Becoming the Archetype on their South-African tour.
Ténéré firmly believe that they have a mandate to leave a legacy of joy and love in the South-African metal scene and abroad. Testifying alongside the Spirit and through the power of the Blood.
