Biography

Hailing from Kempshot of Montego Bay, Jamaica, is a musical angel in disguise. Born and raised in a family of fifteen, which consisted of nine brothers and 5 sisters. Tenza grew up in a life of struggle and disappointment so she certainly knows how to appreciate all of her blessings that she has been given, and her musical talent was definitely one of those blessings not taken for granted.
Tenza left Jamaica when she was only fourteen to reside in the United Kingdom, in the town of Slough. For Tenza it was one of the most difficult times of her life, leaving all her friends and family, to begin a whole new life in England. At first Tenza found it hard adjusting to the new culture, especially in school.
As time went on, Tenza started to make new friends when she attended the Slough Youth Centre music classes. She then felt at home as she reconnected with her passion, which is music. Tenza began attending dance classes, singing classes and entering competitions, put on by the slough youth centre.

Tenza has always retained a strong passion for Dancehall and Reggae music that was so prominent in her life. Living the life she lived back in Jamaica, it was the empowering and highly uplifting sounds of Bob Marley, Yellow Man, Beres Hammond, Bounty Killer, Denis Brown, Lady Saw, Super Cat and Beenie Man, that were a big influence in her musical career. Positive guidance from management and mentor’s such as, Errol Fenton, Douglas Gregory, James Williams and Mr Othman Muhklis, is what kept her faith and hope strong, throughout all the years of trying to make it, and become what she has become today.
Overcoming many obstacles, Tenza’s skills had created an opportunity for her to become a member of the electric trio ‘Fya’ - the formerly Def Jam signed female dancehall group. ‘Too Hot’ and ‘Must Be Love’ being a couple of the many Gold selling hits ‘Fya’ released.

Tenza has now re-launched her musical career as a solo artist, successfully touring France, Sweden and a number of countries in wider Europe and have appeared on a number of musical festivals in the UK over the past year.
She has now released her first official single "No Behaviour" which is taken from her album "wicked like me."The single, produced by Dolamite of Suncycle production, has been moving very swiftly up the musical charts, and is enjoying heavy rotation on Fm and internet radios in Jamaica, Japan, and across the globe since its release.
Tenza is set to release her debut solo album entitled "Wicked Like Me", which will feature productions from top Jamaican and European producers, with collaboration from the likes of Macca Diamond and Terro 3000 and many more, that’s just a taste of what is to come from the hugely anticipated solo album.
Tenza has a natural talent for success, with her never say never attitude, she has launched her own clothing line "Rasta Fetish" and has set up her own official recording label "Tenza Music Digital". she successfully completed an anti gun and anti knife school tour, where she educates young children about the on going crime and violence that is taking place in our schools and communities.

Tenza’s skills and talents include singing, song writing and composing. Tenza also operates a full-service recording studio for her own work, as well as a few younger singers and producers she’s been working with, to give them a good start in the music biusness. Tenza’s work has been chronicled in newspapers such as the Jamaica star, Jamaica observer and numerous Internet sites and magazines from around the world.
She now has her sight set on 2011, with shows already booked in Africa, Europe and the Caribbean, to couple with the success of her now hit single "No Behaviour". One can expect to see a lot more from this young and energetic Reggae/Scoa/Artist, as Tenza plans to continue making good music for every musical ear,"With a clear deliverance, Tenza spreads a Universal messages of Truth, Love and Righteousness."
