'Tex Beneke 'was born Gordon Lee Beneke on 12th February 1914, in Fort Worth Texas. Had a long caree r as a singer, saxophonist and band leader, working with greats such as Glenn Miller, Henry Mancini and singer Eydie Gorme. Full details of his life and career can be gained via Wikipedia, newspapers and other sources.Died aged 86 in Costa Mesa California on 30th May 2000. Entertained a great many people over the years.
