Biography
The 18 Carat Love Affair are Patrick Joseph Barrett (vocals & bass), Andrew Bowker (drums), Kate Dornan (vocals & synthesisers), Steven Horry (vocals, guitars & synthesisers) and Jim Rhesus (vocals & guitars).
Comprising of, amongst others, former 586 and Subliminal Girls members, the band formed in 2008 after a protracted argument as to who the best member of Girls Aloud is.
Their songs range from synth-heavy, pop orientated dance floor fillers, to epic torch songs suggestive of melancholy. They have been described in the press as "Bouncy music-hall tinged electro popsters", "Quite amazing", and "The 18 Carat Love Affair".
