The Acacia Strain is an American metal band formed in 2001. Originally from Chicopee, Massachusetts, the band is now based in Albany, New York. They are currently signed to Rise Records.
The initial lineup included high school friends Vincent Bennett, Christopher Daniele, Ben Abert, and Karrie Whitfield. Guitarists Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz and Daniel Daponde joined the band shortly after its formation. The Acacia Strain released their debut full-length album, "…And Life Is Very Long," in 2002 through Devil's Head Records.
Since their debut, the band has released eleven additional studio albums, establishing themselves as a consistent presence within the deathcore and metalcore scenes. Vocalist Vincent Bennett remains the only original member still active in the group.
