Biography
From the wobbly bivouac of psychedelic space rock emerges Glastonbury's second loudest band. Self-styled pagan function ensemble, The Anarchetypes, who are largely a vehicle for the quirky songwriting and funky bass playing of main man Tim Hawthorn.
It’s not all about Hawthorn, as Andy Roid's synthetic sequencing and Richard Mason’s ever-present fret-wrangling guitar shine mellifluently through the multi-faceted arrangements; with guest appearances from Graham Clark and Richard Armstrong-Sealand supporting the haphazard genius of Laura Tupker's left-field percussion and velvet-lined vocalisation. Ultimately, theirs is a set full of brightly coloured pan-galactic zing thrubblers for their faithful fans to sing along with, and newbies to pick up as if by telepathy; a smorgasbord of Space Punk, Stoner Rock, Acid Jazz and 60's Psyche finely tuned to explode ecstatically in your head all at once.
