Biography
The Basement Sessions were a five-piece outfit from Lewes, England, UK who described themselves as "psychedelic experimental alternative metallic riff-based blues space electro prog psychosis rock" (as of January 2008). They were most active as a live band in and around the Brighton, UK scene. They maintain a jazz-inspired improvisational approach to writing music and record the majority of their material regardless of its content, preferring the energy of the live music vibe to obsessive studio engineering. Their influence by noise rock contributes to a distinct affinity for chaos.
