In 2006, two families merged and The Blood Lines were born. Brothers, Paul and Barrett Ross and siblings Maygen and S.J. Kardash soon conceived a recording and a Canadian tour, penetrating the US to play the prestigious CMJ Music Marathon.
"Move over Arcade Fire and Stars and all you trendy Arts+Crafts bands. From Saskatoon in Saskatchewan come the future of alterno-pop-rock on their self-titled debut. One of the very few good things to come out of CMJ this year."

In November 2006, The Dears invited The Blood Lines to support their western Canadian tour. Since then, the band has toured as far as China, where they played the Beijing Pop Festival with acts like, Nine Inch Nails, Mando Diao and Public Enemy.
A marriage of 70’s inspired riffs and modern ideas filled The Blood Lines’ first album. Recorded on analog reel to reel in S.J. Kardash’s home studio, the record charted as high as 1 on some college stations, being named “most-played” on XM station, The Verge, and going on to win “Outstanding Rock Recording” at the 2007 Western Canadian Music Awards.
The group apparently disbanded in 2009, according to their "myspace" page.
