The Dallas-based Bodarks are "a genre-creating string band," says Buddy Magazine, and they have "developed their own unique Americana music." Drawing inspiration from the punkgrass of The Devil Makes Three and Trampled by Turtles, their self-titled album is rife with folk tradition laced with edgy contemporary influences. Recently guest-starring on KNON 89.3 FM's Texas Renegade Radio and one of the Shiner Rising Star finalists of 2013, The Bodarks appeal to a wide range of generations and tastes as they dig up the roots from which today's music grew and the American soul was nurtured.
