Biography

Rooted in the sounds of The Clash, Sex Pistols, Replacements and Cheap Trick, The Bronco formed in 2010, first playing together in a basement of an abandoned building in a defunct shipyard. A year later they released their first single Century Boy and where invited to play in front of a 10.000 plus audience at the Olympic stadium in Stockholm during the World Cup in snowboarding. The track gained airplay at swedens premier rock radio station Bandit Rock and they also performed during the Swedish Skate Awards 2012. Fast forward to 2015 and they have an album ready for release called West Coast Boys.

Matt Dee: “The brand of punk rock that I listen to is sing-along and anthemic. Big choruses coupled with topics that people can relate to. Our lead single - West Coast Boys - is very much that way. It’s about my own youth in the late seventies. Growing up in a typical working class environment just by the river overlooking the dry docks of the shipyards. Gothenburg was the second largest shipbuilding town in Europe before the crash in -79. The song is a celebration of our hometown and about discovering punk rock and then forming a band, playing until your ears are bleeding. That kind of stuff.”
