The Bullhead

The Bullhead is a Punk Rock band from East Bali - Karangasem. Formed in 2000 with formation: Copok (vocals/guitar), Ajiq (drums) & Hady (bass/back vocals). The name itself is taken from the same zodiac of each personnel, Taurus.

The band's early career began with two twin brothers (Copok & Ajiq) who loved the Pop Punk band Green Day. This band is very influenced the styles and techniques of playing The Bullhead until now. At first they were only willing to practice in their room with makeshift equipment capital. From there they began recording demos of their own songs and gave it to some friends at the school. Hady was interested in joining to complete the formation of the band, after hearing their demo.

They also began to perform in some musical events in Bali. And from the period between 2000 to 2005 The Bullhead had released 3 albums, namely Motoracer, Something With Nothing, and As A Rebel In Your Eyes. Then at the end of 2006 The Bullhead released their 4th album entitled "From East To Rock City" under the label Outsider Records (Superman Is Dead), with 9 songs selected: Wright Time, Viva La Tuton, Honesty #1, Honesty #2, Lupakan Benderamu, State Of The Anarchy, Possession On You, and Hilang. The single "Hilang" went to the compilation album; Rock After School 2.

In 2011 The Bullhead comeback to record 12 new tracks: Recant (the longest duration of punk rock song in the history, approximately 11 minutes), Kembali, Rasa, Break Up, Dunia Baru, For Tomorrow (Feat. Bayu Roots Radicals), She's Gettin' Away, Tentang Kita, Joey n' Floria, Until The End, Selamat Tinggal Bintangku, and a cover song taken from Green Day's debut album "1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours" which is titled "Green Day". The single "Recant" goes to Pukulrata compilation album.

In 2012, they released their 5th album: For Tomorrow!, with additional tracks: Recycle Before Dishonor, Yakinkan, I Will Not Let You Know, and Long Live Anarchy.

From past to present year, The Bullhead is involved in activities that are social humanity, animal welfare, and environment issue. In fact, they are more often active in these activities rather than get invitation for a music show. But, it doesn't mean The Bullhead less liked by the audience, it's just The Bullhead is formed as a band-movement, rather than just a playing music. The Bullhead believe, the idealism in their lives is more than just applied its musicality.
