The Bumble Bees were a beat/garage band from The Hague, The Netherlands, who released three 7-inch singles in 1966-67. Another of pop enterpreneur Paul Acket's signings, The Bumble Bees started out as Mariska & The Bumble Bees, Mariska being Mariska Veres, who would in 1970 top the American Billboard Hot 100 as the singer of Shocking Blue.
The Bumble Bees' line-up consisted of Jim ten Boske (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Joop Lelieveld (guitar, vocals), Rene Bakker (bass) and Nico Overgaauw (drums). Boske would later go on to play the organ in The Shoes.
