Biography
The Burning Effigies are a truly independent success story. In 2004 they somehow got the money together for their own studio. The result was a critically acclaimed album "Pipe Dream".
The band produced and engineered the album and used a wacky range of equipment for recording from cheap transistor joke equipment to gourmet German valve devices and supercomputers. They have been known to pack up their studio equipment into a couple of cars and record in creaky houses in the middle of nowhere. Their studio changed location three times during the recording to further complicate matters.
Their music went straight from their tiny studio in Dublin, Ireland to Hollywood as they gained numerous placements on US TV shows such as "One Tree Hill", "Las Vegas", "The Ghost Whisperer" and others. A second album is on the way, due for release in the fall. They gig regularly on the Dublin club scene.
