Biography
The Casual Businessmen are an experimental noise rock group from Connecticut.
Their style greatly reflects on their philosophy that music doesn't need to be finely calculated. Music is a sonic representation of emotions, thoughts, and beliefs, therefore it does not need to be produced, edited or refined. The Casual Businessmen's sound is purposely raw and abrasive in order to better represent the flowing emotions of the moment. The Casual Businessmen treat each song as an idea rather than a set track. Each song is a constantly evolving version of its previous self. Due to this take on music, live performances of songs can be either drastically longer or shorter than on the actual recording. Songs by The Casual Businessmen have also been known to run together and quote each other.
The majority of tracks on "Have a Casual Time", were recorded with out rehearsal or any planning prior to recording. All songs by The Casual Businessmen are recorded in a completely live setting. Lyrics are typically improvised and rarely written down.
The Casual Businessmen orient themselves more towards live performances in order to feed off the energy of the crowd.
