There are at least two groups named The Charlies.

1. The Charlies are an Icelandic girl group, currently located in the USA, all three members used to be in a girl group called 'Nylon' and as 'Nylon' they had a top 30 UK hit in 2006 with 'Losing a Friend' and had big success in their homeland singing in both English as well as their native language.

As of Nov 2011 you can download a mix tape of 6 tracks free at their official website

2. The Charlies are a rock/funk band from Melbourne, VIC, Australia. It's members consist of: Jane Willison - vocals, Liz Sedman - guitar, Scott Cherry - bass, Julia Watt - drums.

After completing their recent world tour, with sell out shows in Iraq and Afghanistan, The Charlies have been nominated for twelve ARIA awards.
They're fairly confident bass player Scott "slappin" Cherry will win the "Best Slap" award. Guitarist Lizzie "guitar lady" Sedman, is favourite to win the prestigious "Nipple Picking" award. Vocal vixen Jane "don't spew on me" Willison is picked to win the "Longest Scream" award and is really hoping to win "Best Onstage Cartwheel". Drummer Julia "show us your tits" Watt is in the running for "Best Camel Toe" after wearing that one piece jumpsuit late last year. There's some pretty tough competition in this category though.

All in all, The Charlies are one of the finest funk bands you'll ever see in your whole entire life. You'll be amazed, horrified, excited and offended by the end of your first listen.
