With their debut EP in hand and new recordings already down, The China Blue Experiment are a band ready to showcase their blues infused/soul soaked pop on the world.
Based around the lyrical musings of front man Darren Forster, arrangements of Swiss born jazz scholar Gordon Cant and the funky grooves of ass player Julien Zanin The China Blue Experiment are constantly pushing the boundaries of each song, show and artist.

The China Blue Experiment have found a unique formula that has been impressing fans around the country. Their shows vary from intimate solo/duo acoustic performances to gatherings of some of Perth’s finest and most loved musicians for all out explosive live performances.
The new 4-track EP, described by Jukebox Radio as “…BRILLIANT, It’s not often you hear half a dozen genres in one piece of music, but Blues, Soul, Funk, Folk, it’s all there. And spewing emotion. It was with pleasure that we have added The China Blue Experiment to our playlist”. The EP was produced by Shaun Sibbes (Young Revelry and Sneaky Sound System drummer) and Lee Jones (Eskimo Joe, Spencer Tracy), with new songs including One Horse Town and Raindance among the standouts.
Forster's song writing style takes the listener on an emotionally-charged yet up-lifting and dynamic ride. Melodies and lyrics pour out of this musician who picked up a guitar in his 20s “looking for a way to breathe.” The China Blue Experiment have also recently been interviewed by and played live on, RTR and North West FM with EP being played on stations all around the country.
