Biography
The Cityscape Riot are an Australian electronic duo from Hobart now based in Brisbane. Joseph Cityscape and Jay Riot have been combining electronic music with live drums since 2007. The Cityscape Riot's music has been described as being "Inside a computer game where you’re dressed in a fluoro suit, driving a fast car and fighting for your life". They were a Triple J unearthed feature artist in November 07. They’ve had their music played on Triple J Radio as well as on ABC and ABC 2 television. They were also featured in the February J-Mag Magazine (‘08’), devoted to electronic music down under, as one of the most exciting up and coming electro bands in Australia. The Cityscape Riot released their debut E.P 'Technodome Nights' in July '08' and are currently remixing it and writing new material for an upcoming E.P. Recently (Feb '09') their song 'Head Full of Stars' was selected for a new ABC initiative called 'ReFace'. The song is featured on their website http://www.abc.net.au/tv/reface/. The site is a street art project which features digital galleries accompanied by music.
