The Cornel West Theory is a band born in the belly of the beast, Washington DC. Inspired by the struggles of DC's ghettoes, Hip Hop, and the center of world politics, their music is rooted in hip hop, but smashed into a firebrand sound containing elements of punk, go-go, blues, jazz, and industrial noisescapes. Defined as Type 1… rooted in hip-hop, but not confined to a single genre of music… limitless.
