Biography
The Cosmic Surf Club is a new music production team consisting of four musicians. They developed a unique way of working, they call it 'four Koks in the kitchen' ('Koks' is Dutch for 'Cooks'), meaning everyone has equal say in deciding which tunes they produce and how to arrange, mix and master them. The term 'Cosmic Surf' originated when performing with the Gentlemen's Club - a band that plays 100% improvised music - and not wanting to resort to the term 'free jazz'. 'Cosmic Surf' emphasizes the music's tendency to travel from one cosmic place to another. On top of that, the Cosmic Surf Club likes productions to radiate with a happy and rich, futuristic spirit.
