The Crake

IT ALL BEGUN WHEN 2 BROTHERS JOINED FORCES…

Freddie, who has been producing music for over 10 years was busy recording friends rap over one of his Sir Snipe hip-hop beats when Harry came up and attempted to join in, but he couldn't quite rap like the others, and left slightly annoyed…. only to come back to Freddie pissed a few days later to tell him he could sing, and he really could, so Freddie told him to write some songs and they will record them together. A week later Harry returned with 4 songs written, when Freddie played with some beats Harry had a sudden surge of ideas and in 10 mins wrote the lyrics for "Starting A Blaze", which was the bands first track.

A year and 7 months later, the brothers have recorded 30 original tracks, written many many more and have only recorded 1 cover to date, a cover of "Bruno Mars - Just The Way You Are"…. they have now been joined by 3 other members, Nathan Hewitt, Adam Bundy and Luke McKenna to form a true 5 piece band, all of the lads know each other well and have all grown up in the town.

Luke is a brilliant Guitarist and Drummer, and takes on the drums in the band with his awesome dreads, Bundy is the "Hendrix" of the band, shredding on lead guitar with his crazy hendrix hair style and Nathan is a Guitarist taking on the role of Bassist with his long hair and that russian hat.

Using the recorded works as blue prints and with completely new songs aswell as covers - the guys have crafted works of live art.

THEY COME FROM NEWQUAY IN CORNWALL, UK… "THE CRAKE" COMES FROM AN OLD MYTH IN THE TOWN "THE GANNEL CRAKE",
"This name is given to a terrible sound heard on the River Gannel at different times of the day and the night. Some say it is the call of a vixen or perhaps an unusual bird while others say it is the cry of " a tortured human soul ". A man who heard it in the 1800's said " it was like nothing on earth, like a thousand voices pent up in misery, with one long wail dying away in the distance" .Who knows what this strange phenomenon could be?."
