The Daze formed initially as an outlet for Nick Conolly's songwriting but has since blossomed into a more collaborative effort. The band now revolves around the core members of Nick (vocals, guitars, piano & organ), the virtuosic Joel Bloom (lap steel & dobro), Claire Kuiper (vocals, guitar) and Dale 'G' Thomas (drums, vocals).

The band recently released a 5 track EP 'Street Light Solace' featuring 4 new songs and a remix of an Olinda Daze track 'Itchy Feet' done by one-time member Paul Skelton.

Currently recording the follow-up to their critically acclaimed debut, expect to see and hear much more from this upcoming Melbourne band.

- There is an unsigned Irish indie band of the same name, many of whose tracks feature in the chart (Car Crash In The Bedroom, Dragon In The Woodshed, Afraid of People, etc).

- A 3-piece London based indie band is also named "The Daze" (Freddie Cowan - Guitar, Charlie Haddon - Bass Guitar & Vocals, Felix Matthews - Drums & Vocals). The band has recently released a single featuring "Shake" and "I Want Out" (Institute Records).

- There is also a Austin, TX blues rock/psychadellic/folk band by this name.The Austin based trio comprised of Evan Butts on guitar and vocals, Chris Ritchie on bass, and Aaron Lemke on drums have been playing together for 4 years. Their influences range from Bob Dylan and Led Zeppelin to The Black Keys and Buena Vista Social club. Their shows are high energy and exciting. The music ranges from folk and blues rock to Latin jams and quiet ballads.

- There is another band under the name The Daze being a punk/alternative band from Bury St Edmunds, England, being described by www.queensroadstudio.co.uk/the-daze as “ THE DAZE are a five piece post punk band from Bury St Edmunds formed in May 2017 at Queens Road Studio. The band are renowned for entertaining the crowd with their high energy stage presence, swapping of singers and musicians and their short, sharp, loud numbers.
In 2022 they have the under 18's Cambridge Band Comp resulting them playing at The Junction and Strawberry Fair. They were nominated for the Kimberly Rae Songwriting Comp by the judges for their new song 'Entitled'. Judge Mark "its a rap punk cross with a Hawkwind feel; incredible." This band was disbanded following their final performance at Strawberry Fair on June 3rd, 2023.
