Biography
The DeadCats began in Vancouver in 1994.
The original line-up included Beef (drums), Mike Dennis (guitar), Scooter Johnson (bucket), & Gord Smithers (lead guitar). They've released 6 CDs, mostly on Flying Saucer Records and have appeared on numerous compilation discs.
Deadcats play old-school Psychobilly influenced by the Meteors, the Cramps, Link Wray and Dick Dale. They do several Garage-Punk and Surf-Instro numbers.
The current line-up is: Mick "Nitro" Dennis (Vocs, Guitar), Gord "Gorehound" Smithers (guitar), "Chopper" Sivertz (guitar), Floyd Catskinner(Upright Bass) & Kermit Von Munster (stand-up drums). Canada's foremost psychobilly band, they're one of Vancouver's best live acts!
