Biography
The Deaf Commission was formed sometime in 2009 by Jarred Beaton and Evert Snyman (BPJ). Evert had been shaking up the JHB rock scene for years as a guitarist/singer and decided to take on a project as a full time drummer. Jarred had been writing and performing his solo stuff for some years and now wanted to take things further.
Gavin and Nick later joined in on the action on lead guitars and bass making them a fully fledged, grunge-rock-noise-making-machine.
Their style is akin to the punk and grunge movement of the 90's, combining elements of folk, pop, punk and blues to create a heavy and palatable sonic product.
So whether you like vintage cameras and cardigans. Skateboards and thrash metal or romantic walks on the beach. The Deaf Commission are an act worth checking out.
